2020 THE START OF THE YEAR
Posted March 2020
The winter in Mallorca has been particularly warm this year. Well even the locals are saying that we have not had a winter. A clear sign of global warming and climate change. Each morning (well most mornings!) I will drop the children at school (08:30) and go for a run in the promenade and Pine Walk of Puerto de Pollensa. The area is stunning, quiet and beautiful. I have shared some of my best pictures.
When Storm Gloria hit us I was devastated to see some of the damage that Storm Gloria had done to the Pine Walk, the boats on the beach a complete carnage. Many of the paths had crumbled, sand and sea weed everywhere. Please see photos below.
However, if you will come to visit Puerto Pollensa this year you probably wont even know it had happened! The port is now in the hussle and buzzle of getting ready for what hopefully will be a good season and the Port like always will look its best! However, it is beautiful to visit Puerto Pollensa in the quiet sunny winter days. Many of our villas and apartments are available during the winter months and are prepared with heating or log fires, best of all we have some great deals!
